Project Details
Following a burst pipe that damaged the original Meadowbrook Clubhouse, our team designed a compact yet thoroughly flexible replacement building that honors the site's history while looking forward to future community uses. Situated atop the hill—a strategic location that creates new opportunities for events and programming—the clubhouse incorporates durable commodity materials reflecting neighborhood context, with interior spaces including a lounge and transaction counter, office, restrooms, and storage.
The design emerges from close collaboration between our team and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, which served as both owner and landscape architect, demonstrating how true partnership creates authentic community facilities. Working alongside Loucks (Civil), BKBM (Structural), and Emanuelson Podas (MEP), we developed a design that celebrates Meadowbrook's rich history while creating a forward-looking asset.
The completed project exemplifies how thoughtful design of modest structures can strengthen neighborhood character and community identity.
