Project Details
The Onalaska Service Center project began with comprehensive site selection analysis, evaluating three properties for Xcel Energy's operational requirements including response times, zoning compliance, traffic flow, and topography. The selected property's significant 40-foot elevation change required innovative site planning to organize programmatic functions—which include a Natural Gas division specific to Wisconsin market operations—with safe, intuitive flow and operational efficiency.
Our team worked closely with leadership to develop building layouts, equipment yards, landscaping, and retaining strategies that maximize functionality across the challenging topography. Currently in construction document phase with CMaR delivery, the project demonstrates our ability to manage complex site and operational conditions while creating facilities supporting long-term service excellence. The design reflects deep understanding of utility operations and commitment to employee experience and public service quality.
