Washington County Wildwood Library

Our team designed a 12,570-square-foot community library that emerged from extensive public engagement, incorporating feedback from multiple community meetings to create a genuinely responsive public gathering space. The design integrates dedicated children's and teen zones, private study rooms, a community meeting space, and an outdoor patio—each element thoughtfully positioned to support diverse patron needs and library programming. Beyond its spatial flexibility, the facility prioritizes accessibility, enhanced energy efficiency, and an optimized workflow that strengthens staff productivity and user experience. Natural light, open sightlines, and intuitive circulation guide visitors through the space while fostering a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. The Wildwood Library as a vibrant civic asset, demonstrates the impact of collaborative design rooted in community values and forward-thinking public service.
