Project Details
The 28,000-square-foot Hemi-Anechoic Acoustic Test Center represents a unique technical achievement—the largest acoustic testing facility of its kind in the private sector when completed. Serving as architect of record on a design-build team, we oversaw construction administration of a specialized facility housing test chambers for certifying generator sets of various sizes to meet zoning and code compliance across global markets. The facility includes office and technical support spaces, build areas, a large main test chamber, a smaller secondary chamber, a sound quality laboratory, and provisions for future expansion.
Beyond its technical sophistication, the project provides an anchor facility for Cummins' Fridley campus, supporting the Research and Development Center of Excellence and fostering ongoing engineering innovation globally. the Acoustic Test Center demonstrates our expertise in designing highly specialized technical facilities that advance industrial research and development.
